This is just a quick post about grey water. I have been interested in implementing a grey water system for many years, but so far I have not had the chance to do it, but I think this year will be my chance.
Grey water is essentially the water that comes from your washing machine, kitchen sink, bath and shower, and downpipes from the roof. It is not clean enough to drink, but is perfect for watering the garden, flushing your toilet etc.
There are some sophisticated systems available these days to help with this, but I found this really simple to set up system on a youtube video, and I think I will start with this, and use the water for the garden. Later in the year I will research how to develop this into a more comprehensive grey water system with underground tanks and pumps, and will update this blog at that time.
In the meantime, look how inexpensive it is to set up a simple sytem for your home, and get using your water twice to save both your money and the environment.
